NERC Grants Alaro Free Zone Two Electricity Licenses
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has issued two licences to the Alaro Connect Free Zone Enterprise at Alaro City in Epe, Lagos State, to generate and distribute electricity within the free zone.
According to NERC, the first license is designated for Embedded Electricity Generation, enabling the enterprise to generate up to 10 megawatts of power at the Alaro City, Northwest Quadrant, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Epe, Lagos.
In addition, the Commision has granted the second license specifically for Independent Electricity Distribution within Alaro City.
Representatives from the Alaro Connect Free Zone Enterprise visited the NERC headquarters today to officially receive these licenses from NERC Legal, License, and Compliance Division officials.
