The publisher of BusinessDay Newspaper, Frank Aigbogun was overwhelmingly elected the Chairman of the Board during the inaugural meeting of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of Forum of Alumni Association of Institute of Management and Technology, (FAA-IMT) Enugu on Monday 21st April, 2025
In same vein, Dr Mrs Anthonia Ekwo was also elected as Vice-Chairman of the BOT. Members pledged full support and loyalty to the elected members in restoring the dreams of our founding fathers.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Aigbogun called for synergy to achieve the desired objectives of the Alumni Association led by the National President, Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu. The BusinessDay boss highlighted importance of Alumni Association in overall development of their alma mater and expressed confidence that the BOT will not fail.
In his remark, the Rector of IMT Enugu, Prof Gozie Ogbodo challenged the Association to the task of returning the glory of IMT while stating that Alumni Association is expected to give back to the school and expect nothing in return.

Contributing to the meeting, Dr Uche Ogah, Chairman of Masters Energy Group said he’s already sold to the school and will not relent in doing more to the Institute. Speaking on the groundbreaking achievements of the Rector, Mrs Agatha Nnaji, Managing Director of Geometric Power Limited assured the new leadership of her support and availability at all times.
Speaking earlier the National President of FAA-IMT, Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu expressed delight at the outcome saying it’s a dream come through and pledged support of NEC to the BOT leadership as well as sustained advancement of the Alumni Association. He reminded them that they were chosen on merit and they are our frontline ambassadors.
The Secretary of the BOT who triples as the IMT PRO as well as Alumni Liaison Officer, Barr Mark Eze who convened the inaugural meeting expressed optimism that the BOT is a new deal and new dawn not only for the Alumni community but IMT.
It will be recalled that the BOT members were inaugurated on 17th April, 2025 at the Institute’s Council Chamber by the Rector of IMT Enugu, Prof Gozie Ogbodo.
Other members of the Board are Chief Dr George Moghalu, the Labour Party governorship candidate for November 8 election in Anambra State and immediate past MD/CEO of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA); Dr Etofolam Osuji, Vice-President, Institute Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chief Micheal Akinbola.
