 Eterna Appoints Olumide Adeosun as New CEO to Drive Growth

Eterna Plc has announced the appointment of Olumide Adeosun as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective 3 February 2025.

The disclosure, signed by company secretary David Edet, was shared via the Nigerian Exchange platform. Adeosun will succeed Abiola Lawal, who is set to step down on 31 January 2025.

The Board expressed gratitude to Lawal for his outstanding leadership and the remarkable contributions he made during his tenure, highlighting his pivotal role in advancing the company’s objectives.

Adeosun brings over 25 years of extensive experience in finance and energy, earning recognition as an accomplished leader and industry innovator.

He began his professional journey as a business analyst in London, joining PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) UK through its graduate programme. He later advanced to BP Plc, where he held several senior roles in upstream finance, business support, and commercial operations.

At BP Oil International, a subsidiary of BP’s Integrated Trading and Supply unit, Adeosun played a key role in the Deals Origination Business Unit. He also contributed to the development of BP’s Africa trading strategy, leading to the creation of BP Global West Africa Limited in Nigeria.

As Vice President of Commercial Development, Adeosun spearheaded initiatives that achieved a staggering 300% revenue growth within three years.

With his extensive expertise and leadership acumen, Eterna Plc is well-positioned to leverage Adeosun’s strategic insights as it enters a new phase of growth and innovation.
